Misconceptions and myths surround us everywhere we turn. Change from common misconceptions is usually met with challenge and opposition, despite the results. Having an open mind helps one determines clearly and correctly without preconceptions, if a misunderstanding, is indeed underfoot.

Within this post, I will answer the question, Why should I skip breakfast? Along with this, I will include some amazing programs that use skipping breakfast to lose weight.

We have all heard it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Right?

But what if…eating breakfast isn’t the most important meal of the day and maybe, just maybe, should be skipped altogether?

Since more than 1 in 3 in the U.S. were considered to be overweight. One might draw the conclusion that eating breakfast is contributing to us being overweight. This coupled with high-calorie foods and overeating oversized large meals makes it extremely difficult to maintain your optimal weight. We are fighting an uphill battle here.

I’m no different, I have been overweight myself and have struggled with shedding excess pounds. But…I have been steadily losing weight by practicing intermittent fasting now for 2 years using an intermittent fasting program. (see below What Are Some Intermittent Fasting Programs?) All the while eating big satisfying meals later in the day.

To explain, intermittent fasting is going for a period of time (usually 12 to 16 hours without eating) and having a timeframe (window) of when you do eat. This is usually around 8 hours when you are allowed to eat. So, you usually start your fast around at night after your last meal or snack. Then sleep (hopefully for eight hours), then skip breakfast and depending on the program you’re following eat your first meal around 4 to 6 hours after waking up.

I challenge you to rethink your views on eating breakfast and entertain the notion of skipping breakfast. While you might be at first thinking this sucks how am I going to do this, if you put this into practice you will be very thankful for the many benefits and wondering instead, this really works and it’s easy to do.

Let’s explore the possibilities.

What Are The Benefits Of Skipping Breakfast?

  • Increase mental cognition.
  • Makes dieting easy. Yes…easy.
  • Allows your body the opportunity to burn and use excess body fat.
  • With the increased use of fasting it allows the body removal of waste, which improves skin problems.
  • You gaining control over food and not the other way around.
  • The ability to eat bigger meals that are more satisfying and satiated while still maintaining a lean look. Yep!
  • Past the few first days, your body quickly adapts to the intermittent fasting and hunger pains are gone and gone for good too.
  • Despite common myths, you can and will put on muscle intermittent fasting.

What Are Some Intermittent Fasting Programs?

You can see people that are overweight that eat breakfast and on the flip-side, you can see people that skip breakfast that is overweight as well.

Why is this? Well, you got to have a game plan and rules. Without rules, chaos ensues, as chaos is weight gain in this case.

So, I have two excellent programs that fully incorporate IF into there program.

Science Based Six Pack

Science Based Six Pack is a brand new intermittent fasting program just released this past month (10-2017) and sure to be a massive success. This program was developed by Thomas DeLauer who once struggled with weight himself and develop this program based on intermittent fasting. Thomas DeLauer is an entrepreneur, fitness model, trainer, and author.

The program uses intermittent fasting along with bodyweight and weight exercises to effectively lose weight and gain muscle. Like the title says, all information is science-based, either through a University study, peer-reviewed journal, or scholarly journal.
